What started as a gathering of farmers, mechanics and manufacturers in 1859, evolved into the incorporation of the Warren County Farmers' Fair in 1937, and more recently mushroomed into an annual event that truly has something for everyone. Where else can you thrill to a hot air balloon ride, eat cotton candy on a carnival midway, watch traditional craftsmen at work, get down-and-dirty in a Mud Bog competition, and cheer your neighbor on in a tractor pull... all in the same place? Yes, the Farmers' Fair, featuring one of New Jerseys' popular Hot Air Balloon Festivals is truly a family affair.
In 2019 the Fair is celebrating the 22nd Annual Traditional Arts Expo. Return to the days when baskets were handmade, and spinning was a daily household chore. Local traditional artists from area Guilds will demonstrate their work.
This year marks the 19th year for the Hot Air Balloon Festival in Warren County, New Jersey! Balloon launches, balloon rides, and tethered rides. There will be a mass balloon launches EVERY NIGHT! Tethered Rides will also be offered, with times based on weather and TBA. Wednesday night will be the Bicycle Balloon Race, raising funds for the Fred T Grotenhuis Veterans Community Center. (All balloon activity weather permitting.) The Hot Air Balloon Festival is included in one low admission price to the Fair!
For those who appreciate a taste of country life and some good old fashioned, down-home fun, the Warren County Farmers' Fair annual series of Power Events make for an entertaining and affordable day or evening out with family and friends. Advance Tickets are available by mail, through July 10th, for the Main Arena Power Events, including the new Rafter Z Rodeo Bulls & Barrels, Tractor and Truck Pulls, Demolition Derby and Mud Bogging.
Daily Farm Events & Exhibits give everyone the opportunity to savor the bounty of Warren County's fine agricultural community. The Open Horse Show, pony rides, baking & canning exhibits, 4-H/FFA exhibits... can't you just taste Grandma's apple pie right now?
Old cars, antique cars and fast cars will plentiful at the Fair. So will trucks and tractors or all makes, sizes and ages, for all ages! Opening Day Saturday kicks off with the Truck Show. Sunday is a car show, sponsored by the Warren HIlls FFA Alumni.There are antique car and tractor shows, truck and tractor pulls and more throughout the week.
What's better than musical entertainment at a County Fair? Free concerts and talent shows that you can participate in and win cash. Saturday night it's Country Idol - sign up now, deliver your best country song and win cash prizes. Sunday night enjoy, Adam Yarger returns for a second year, along with Lenny Martelli. Tuesday night at 7 pm is a Fair traditions, the Talent Show. On Friday night enjoy Bobby Clark and The Play It Hard Band, and Saturday night enjoy Leah Marie Fuls and band.
Check out the Kids Rodeo Roundup on Friday night in the horse ring. The Kids Corral is a must-see-do-experience at the Fair, and best of all – its all free! Shows, crafts, educational presenters, daily contests and clowning around with Merriloons.
Food and Entertainment to satisfy every possible taste. Stroll the fun-packed Fairgrounds and taste the many delicious flavors of the Fair. From farm-fresh ice cream to strawberry shortcake, just bring a big appetite and enjoy it all!
